Nestled on a 100+ acre working farm and encompassing the highest elevation in the county, Tranquility creates a one-of-a-kind setting with picturesque views that will make any event special. Conveniently located only a short drive outside of Raleigh, Durham, and surrounding areas giving your guests easy access to hotel accommodations.

Tranquility is equipped with a bridal suite, grooms parlor, dining hall, reception terrace, reception hall, two ponds, multiple outbuildings, and spacious pastures making your photography needs a dream! In a class all its own, this historic estate home combined with our modern pavilion gives you the best of both worlds. History, elegance, rustic charm, and class.

When creating their venue the Tranquility team decided that simplicity is key! Assisting couples to make this estate their own for that special day. Tranquility provides a preferred vendors list for couples to customize their perfect day also including the use of tables and chairs in any package. Being Oxford/NC natives, great customer service and a little bit of southern charm is the true definition of this family-owned and operated venue.

The Homeplace Lawn & Gardens

Set your wedding plans to be married in the beautifully manicured lawn of the Historical Tranquility Homeplace. Enter through the Arched Trellis and walk the paved aisle up to the front porch of the Great Estate while your bridesmaids await you! Decorated with flowers and the gorgeous scrolled columns of the front porch, this outdoor setting is absolutely stunning in spring and fall sunsets. Lawn seating capacity accommodates 150-200 guests depending on the layout.

The Mountain Terrace Pavilion (indoor)

Make the grand entrance down the paved walkway from the Homeplace bridal suite to your awaiting guests in the incredible Terrace Pavilion. With unparalleled views and roll-up clear glass panoramic walls, the Pavilion provides shade and shelter, yet opens to the great outdoors. The stone fireplace is the centerpiece, along with the crystal chandeliers, but the vast views of Daniel's Mountain and hundreds of acres of rolling hills farmland will captivate your guests and make your event one they'll always remember. Capacity on this setting ranges from 50-150 and can reach 200 if combined with the Terrace patio areas. This is a controlled environment and ideal for any time of year and any type of weather.

The Terrace Patio

For smaller, more intimate outdoor events. Have your special day on the beautiful cobblestone terrace overlooking the wildflower fields and mill pond fountains. The terrace patio is surrounded by a capped stone wall, perfect for informal seating but also allowing traditional rows of chairs to accommodate up to 60-70 guests (or fewer). The sundown views from this setting are awesome. It is also conveniently located where your guests can stroll into the open Pavilion after your ceremony to let the celebration begin! Open bar, food prep area, and dancefloors lights are just steps away.

- A designated facility representative for your event who will be present the entire time.
- General use of the designated facility setting of your choice, including the historical Homeplace and bridal suites.
- General use of the front lawn and gardens area.
- General use of the Mountain Terrace Pavilion, the dance hall, bar, restrooms, parking lot, and food prep areas for vendors.
- General use of the kitchen equipment and ice machines.
Use of over 25 tables (8 people) and 200 folding chairs.
- General facility cleanup after your event.
- We provide a preferred vendor list for subcontractor DJs, caterers, wedding planners, bartenders, shuttle services, hotels, bonds, florists, etc…

Absolutely loved the visit we had at this beautiful property, we felt like we stepped back in time in this gorgeous house and also felt like we could have our own personal “club” to have the best reception party we could imagine. Not to mention how spacious it is and how bright the stars will be at night!! Its going to be awesome! We have our date booked and can’t wait for our day!

From the moment we drove up and got out of the car to the smile on my face leaving this venue was amazing! You do get the best of both rustic farm and old world elegant. I have no doubts my bridal portraits will be BEAUTIFUL. Not to mention the reception area, you can pick your color lights you want to set the mood with, and they have their own laser light show that goes with music!! Very nice, top notch. They definitely thought of every thing.
